Known worldwide thanks to Dany Boon's famous film, the belfry is also a tower with 50 bells offering impressive views of Bergues and the Flemish plain. It is a symbol of municipal and town freedoms, and the history of the belfry is linked to that of Bergues.
As you climb the 206 steps of the spiral staircase, you will have the opportunity to visit four recently renovated exhibition rooms, ending up on the ramparts, which give you access to the carillonneur's cabin and a superb view of the Flemish plain.
It is open to visitors in groups of up to 19 people per time slot.

- From 3 November 2025 to 3 April 2026 and from 2 November to 31 December 2026: Monday to Saturday, departures at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 1.45pm, 2.30pm, 3:15 p.m. and 4 p.m. (except 6 & 27 January, 3 February and 3 March in the morning). Closed on Sundays and public holidays.
- From 4 April to 5 July and from 31 August to 31 October: Monday to Saturday, departures at 10am, 11am, 2pm, 2.45pm, 3.30pm, 4.15pm and 5pm. Sundays and public holidays (except 1 May and 27 September): departures at 10 a.m., 10.45 a.m., 11.30 a.m., 12.15 p.m., 3 p.m., 3.45 p.m., 4.30 p.m. and 5.15 p.m.
- Du 6 juillet au 30 août: du lundi au vendredi montées à 10h, 11h, 14h, 14h45, 15h30, 16h15 et 17h. Samedis, dimanches et jours fériés montées à 10h, 10h45, 11h30, 12h15, 13h, 13h45, 14h30, 15h15, 16h, 16h45 et 17h15.
