Presentation

Located in a green setting, in a beautiful 18th-century Flemish house, the Jeanne Devos Museum houses the collections and furniture that she donated to the town of Wormhout upon her death.
You will be amazed by the special atmosphere of this house, which instantly transports you back in time to childhood memories and forgotten scents... to the many artists who frequented these places and left their works behind.
The former presbytery of Wormhout was the residence of Miss DEVOS and Father LAMPS, former owners of the property who now rest in the park where they planted the trees and flowers of Flanders.
You can visit the small school reconstructed by Jeanne Devos. One room displays 20th-century fashion and lingerie. The chapel houses religious ornaments that bear witness to popular piety. Finally, you can discover the photographic works of the Abbé and Jeanne Devos, the first professional female photographer in the North.

‘No one ever came here for just five minutes,’ said Jeanne Devos. So allow yourself plenty of time to appreciate all the museum has to offer.
