Presentation

Pitgam is known for its Flemish architecture, its pond, and its carnival…but also for its historic landmarks.

Meet at the village square to set off with local guides on a 2.6-kilometer walk to discover the town’s must-see sights. You’ll enjoy superb views of the surrounding countryside and discover a region with surprising geographical features, as well as a remarkable heritage—partly designated as historic sites—rich in legends and anecdotes.

A friendly tour full of discoveries awaits you.

Free, but advance reservation required. Spaces limited to a maximum of 20 people.

Discover the region’s six other “Villages of Flanders,” part of a network of about thirty such villages across French and Belgian Flanders. These villages promote and preserve their architectural and cultural heritage, as well as the beautiful natural surroundings that embrace them.
